Who We Are

Vancouver Island Kidney Patients’ Association ( VIKPA )  is a 100% volunteer group and non-profit society organization supporting Vancouver Island renal patients and their families in dealing with kidney disease for over 40 years. VIKPA supports and encourages research into all aspects of kidney disease. We are working for the benefit of renal patients living on Vancouver Island during all stages of kidney disease to help in facing the challenges of kidney disease.

What Do We Do?

VIKPA works in cooperation with Kidney Care Clinic and dialysis renal units on Vancouver Island to provide the additional assistance to Kidney Patients and their families needed during their care such as equipment, both medical and therapeutic for patients undergoing treatment for kidney failure. Over the last 40 years we have donated over $500,000.00 in items such as medical equipment, student bursaries, grocery gift cards, TV units, remotes/headphones in the dialysis centers and we continue to do so with the generous donations we receive from donors in our community.

How Can We Help?

Our Goal is to be known to all Vancouver Island renal patients and treatment providers as a trusted source of support in dealing with kidney disease by providing the essential needs and the general welfare for the kidney patient community and their families on Vancouver Island. Please let us know how we can help?
